Institutional Psychoanalysis Practice
Psychoanalysis has not gained a priority as an effective intervention method in solving the problems of the field by psychiatric institutions, and has generally been considered as a theoretical title. Mental illnesses have been seen as a chronic problem that occurs due to biological reasons and occupies more space than necessary in both the medical hierarchy and public health policies, and the institutional construction of the field has been created according to this perspective. The training of psychoanalysis, its theory and the method of intervention as a technique is provided by the psychoanalysis associations. At first, Istanbul Psychoanalysis Association was established in 2001 and Istanbul Psychoanalysis Education, Research and Development Association was established in 2003 to conduct studies on this subject. Apart from these two main institutions, Lacan Forum Turkey Psychoanalysis Association, Psychoanalytic Research Association, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapies Association, Anatolian Psychoanalytic Therapies Association were established, and there are also psychoanalysis foundations and groups.
At this historical stage, psychoanalysis theory, practice and institutions have to be self-critical. It is important to reconsider the issue by evaluating the objectives and determinations in solving the problems of the field. The difficulties of accessing psychoanalytic education and psychoanalytic treatment continue to increase. Institutions providing psychoanalytic treatment services are private organizations. It is not the most important problem of psychoanalytic education, but the fact that it is paid should not be ignored. It should be the responsibility of institutions providing psychoanalysis education to produce policies to support the public's psychoanalytic education. Association of Psychoanalytic Studies considers itself an internal critique within the institutions and theory of psychoanalysis.
History of the Association for Psychoanalytic Studies
A group of psychiatrists who completed their training in Bakırköy Psychiatric Hospital accepted the training of psychoanalysis, the hypothetical structure of its theory and the difficulties of its practice as a working ground. The grup used these findings as a guide in creating a work plan and setting goals. In April 2018, they came together under the name of Psychoanalytic Studies Group and decided to start working. For more than 4 years, they started regular meetings at the address of Kartaltepe neighborhood, Ahu Street Hisar Apartment, 5/2 Bakırköy/ İstanbul, in order to discuss theory education and the 'psychoanalysis problem' that made meeting compulsory. The group started its first meetings with Hazal Çelik, Ahmet Coşkun and Müge Arslan Çelik. As of 2018, theory education studies started with Orkun Yontar, İrem İlhan are still continuing. In addition to their theory training, the founding members continued to complete their individual psychoanalytic work with the analysts of other existing psychoanalytic associations and additional one-on-one meetings, which are called 'analytical work'. Association of Psychoanalytic Studies continues its tradition of study, which started in 2018, with 16 psychiatrists, 4 psychiatry residents, 8 psychologists/clinical psychologists continuing their education, 1 family physician, 1 practice clinical training engagement, 1 dentist, and 1 sociologist/philosopher who developed clinical training engagement.

The Theoretical Manifesto of Association of Psychoanalytic Studies
Association of Psychoanalytic Studies considers itself a critique within the institutions and theory of psychoanalysis. For this purpose, the group members started their theory training in person as of April 2018, and on the other hand, the main goal was to develop a different superimposition on the chaotic/complex structure of the psychosexual construction by paying maximum attention to the classical psychoanalytic theory and the originary connection. While theoretical studies were progressing, the necessity of bringing classical psychoanalytic concepts to new meaning limitations in parallel with the internal consistency of this different reading was kept in mind as a crucial and undeferred study title. For this purpose, psychosexuality was redesigned with a different content with concepts such as prosthesis, phallic image, maternal non-capacity, self-image, self draft/analyst. It was concluded that psychosexual construction is a non-verbal chaotic image work based on desire/incest that does not contain the context of time and space. According to this reading, these two main concepts that make up the classical psyche equation, such as the id and the superego, were considered to be negligible. The importance of establishing an imaginary psychosexuality hypothesis by excluding the subject's incestuous natural functioning and his sociological and biological contacts were emphasized. It was thought that the intervention instrument that would constitute the psychoanalytic treatment technique was a matter of acquiring an image-study-psychoanalytical study-skill that could establish subjective resonance with non-verbal psychosexual construction. It was concluded that the theory and practice of psychoanalysis is a sensitive work that needs to be developed based on this hypothesis. The group assumed that human sexual capacity was sufficient/complete to explain soul existence, and that maintaining the assertion of existence by relying only on the sexual essence would keep psychoanalytic theory free of confusion. The importance of limiting the activity of analysts was emphasized. The concept of self-sketch was proposed instead of the analyst. The Psychoanalytic Studies Group first announced this distinctive psychoanalytic reading in their article "Ignoring the Phallic Image in the Pre-oral Period: The Prosthetic Mother."
